“Cycling and adventure defines who I am. It’s a lifestyle I love and I hope to inspire others.”
I was born in Finland. As a small boy I was already fascinated by bikes and outdoors. In the mid-90s I started to ride and train seriously and became amateur level racing cyclist on road and offroad. From 2006 I rode several 24-hour solo mountain bike races. Already also a winter cyclist, by 2009 I started to do winter overnight trips and learn winter survival skills. From there I eventually made my biggest ‘impossible dream’ true, by finishing the toughest winter ultra marathon in the world, Iditarod Trail Invitational 350 miles in 2015 and then the big one, 1000 miles in 2018, in Nome under the famed ‘Burled Arch’, both times as the first one from Finland. My adventures and the story continues.
